From the Editor :

England have gone 3-0 down in the ODI series after losing the third match via the D/L method. At least they went down with a fight this time. What next for England and what do you make of the umpires' decision to offer India the light?

Andrew Symonds returned from exile for Australia in the opening Test against New Zealand but not even good ol' Roy could save the Aussies from crumbling to a dismal 214 all out. Do you think Oz will be able to bounce back?

The first Test between South Africa and Bangladesh is well under way and the visitors are in all sorts of trouble. The hosts declared on 441/9 (poor Paul Harris is injured) and then their bowlers rolled over the Tigers' batting line-up. Looks like this one will be over in three days.

Oh, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe are also locking horns and as expected, Sri Lanka dished out a hammering in the first ODI. The Zimbos had six ducks in their innings.

As you can see there is plenty to talk about, but if you fancy a longer rant, do mail us here.

That's all, for now.

Cheers,

The C365 team

Prophet...KP wants to worry more about the gap between his pad and bat everytime he plays at spin. A half decent score from KP would have seen us home and dry this time out...England are a mile off India in every department...438/9 - mines bigger than yours, although a bit more predictable.

Congratulations to Mark Boucher reaching 450 dismissals in tests - what a player.

Heard of Zeno Paradox, Proph?

Posted by Prophet - Today @ 13:37

I love the way KP says after every loss that England is closing the gap that little more. Today's was an eminently forgettable match. Farcical end to a none-too-interesting game.

Agreed Tuesday. Clark is going to be a very tough proposition if conditions remain as they are. Would like to see them get nice and close though - would set up a great test match.

Posted by Bliksem - Today @ 12:53

if he can bowl in this test then why not the next test?? who cares if he can't bat, we have got enough batsmen in the team to score the runs. the only issue i see is how can he feild and take catches??where is johan botha???!!!

Posted by 438/9 - Today @ 12:46

lol @ Samar, tough times indeed! Good luck. I just got a case of Grolsch from said client - so I will join you in this mission! Tuesday!!!!! You've finally gotten here, how the hell are you dear?

Thanks Ed.

Well done to the kiwis for utilising the conditions on offer. Injudicious batting from Watson. Disappointing again from Haddin. I wouldn't bet on NZ overtaking us though.

And regarding Mensa Mr. Penny, I found the people a tad boring in the South African association and never attended again because of that....maybe it's because they seemed to lack a sense of humor to go along with their IQ's? Whilst I enjoy intellectual exchange, I find that all work and no play really isn't much fun. Needless to say, my parents were not impressed. I was never one to conform though.

Does anyone know whats wrong with Harris? He didn't bat.

The editor says.... Harris is injured. http://www.cricket365.com/story/0,18305,6660_4524708,00.html

That is a good one, 438/9. Here in Dubai, Thursday is the weekend. Definitely tonight after 3 beers+my normal quota, I will try that 3 times. "Circumambulation" - right ? Tough time ahead.

Posted by 438/9 - Today @ 12:04

LOL @ Penny....sorry mate, couldn't really read anything you just said mate, I'm laughing so hard it makes it really difficult to read through the tears. Oooooooh boy, also, if you'd remove the hook from your lip, it'd be easier to talk. A-trolling I shall go...a trolling I shall go....hey Pom, Karma was a nice catch...wanna see mine? He's a big one.....fights like hell too.....now I just need to catch Tuesday and we'll have a breeding pair...crikey mate, look the size of this bugger....he's a beaut!

Posted by Shifter - Today @ 11:55

Pom - nice, just continue to ignore the meaning of words and take things out of context to try and further your arguments. It must be nice to not need to have any credibility to your arguments and still think your right. Oh my gosh did you just compare what I said about racism to being afflicted with a disease? That is pretty insensitive of you to think that being dark skinned is a disease. This taking things out of context stuff is fun!

OMG! Who the bloody hell selected Upul Tharanga again to the squad. He got out for a duck! They should have saved the plane ticket on these tough times. My blood pressure was normal when he was dropped from the side and now again........

Wow, Bangladesh have made a fantastic come back - SA lower order need to learn how to be patient and bat with the senior player, can't have this sort of thoughtfulness against better opposition! Every run is going to count...oh wait, we only play Australia next, so 450 odd will be MORE than enough for a first innings score....*GRIN*

Four wins in a row for England now. Seems unlikely to say the least. I think India were deserved winners even though it would of been more interesting if they had completed the overs. India had themselves in trouble more than the bowlers gave them trouble, 3 wickets falling to pretty much the same attacking shot at balls that were there to be hit more or less. Poor show from the SA middle order, save Prince. Really should of piled on more runs. It must of been Graeme Smiths fault they failed. At least we'll get some indication of how our bowlers are bowling sooner.

Circumambulation?? I dare anyone to say that three times after 3 beers......

Posted by HE_Pennypacker - Today @ 11:29

"I will tighten up and attempt not to give you leverage in future.." I'll take my opportunity while I can then :-) "The use of weight as an insult ranks right up there on the intellect scale!" So I guess these sort of comments would rank somewhere just as high? "..goes to show how terrible a leader the little munchkin actually is... Smith is still .... out captaining your little alcholic imp.." Welcome to Mensa 438/9!! :-)

Posted by Prophet - Today @ 11:27

I give up, Pom. Now you have latched on to the "appeals" thing and slyly digress from the main issue again. Skillful circumambulation.

Posted by 438/9 - Today @ 11:19

Hunting Pom? I don't partake in such barbaric past times my good man. I do however hunt quality beer though and my clients (clue -they're one of the biggest breweries in the world) have brought out 1 or 2 semi decent brands of late - so I'm quite happy...a hunting I shall go....a hunting I shall go....lol.

Posted by Pom_in_Pretoria - Today @ 11:19

Shifter...many apologies. I did not think you were being serious with the (in relation to Symonds) "calling someone a monkey..is only racially insensitive" comment. My mistake, I now realise you are serious and whilst it is still funny, I refuse to mock the afflicted....or would I just be being 'insensitive' to the your condition if I did?

All I want for Christmas is...a wicketkeeper batsman worthy of the name for SA :)

Posted by 438/9 - Today @ 11:14

And regarding Ponting's height, we merely make an issue out of it in retaliation to the weight remarks thrown around by Tuesday and others - so I reckon the only way to make it all stop is to make Tuesday's wish come true and organise an official C365 date for her with the SA captain, then maybe she'll stop the school yard antics of teasing someone who she really adores? C'mon Ed, get hold of Smith and trick him into going on a date with Tuesday while in Oz? Just trick him into it by telling him you have a journalist over there who wants to....er...interview him? I'm sure we could raise some money on here to pay for dinner - although I fear Smith may eat a tad more than what we could afford....unless it's an all you can eat lamb chop buffet! Damn, now I've started with the insults against my own national captain. lol....Smith probably wouldn't be all that angry at our deceitfulness if it got him a free meal....bwahahahahaha! Thank you! Thank you! I'm here all week! Please, try the veal and be sure to tip your waitress.....

Posted by Pom_in_Pretoria - Today @ 11:06

438/9 ..yeah bud...missed having a Saffa on here who can take the Kak as much as he gives it ! How was the hunting? Prophet...I agree the appeal is part of the process but when it is abused and becomes a platform for lies (as in the despicable racist Singh's case) and a complete and utter cheek and waste of time as in Gambhir's case it makes a complete mockery of the system...I think stricter controls are needed in the appeal process for teams that do not have respect for the game or themselves.
